  All of our uniforms are made in house.   When you order from us you are ordering from the manufacturer.  We take great pride in our work and use only the best, most authentic material available any where at any price.  You can buy a more expensive uniform but you can't buy a better one.

WHAT IS A CUSTOM ORDER?

  We keep the largest selection of uniforms "on the rack". More than anyone else in the business. We offer a wide variety of choices in our garments, materials, colors and cuts, but we can't keep them all on the rack in every size. Because of this some of the goods offered must be considered custom orders. Richmond type 3 in gray wool is not a custom order. That's a common garment we ship everyday. A Richmond type one in a small size made from richmond gray wool is. Get the picture? If you have any questions about whether your order is or isn't a "custom order" just ask. We're always glad to assist you.

CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE A CUSTOM ORDER?

  If we don't make your order to your specifications of course we will fix it. But, and this is a big but, if we make a garment to your spec.'s and it does not fit properly or you said Richmond grey but you meant Cadet grey...

That's really not our fault

and we can't accept it for exchange or refund. We will adjust the garment if possible but there will be a fee.

  The moral of this story is measure carefully and be sure of what your asking for. Once again if you have questions we are always happy to assist.


RICHMOND DEPOT TYPE I
SHELL JACKET

  There are no known surviving type I jackets, only one identified tailor made coat that is thought to be a copied from the Richmond depot type I. Photographic evidence suggests that Richmond depot type I's were made as early as Feb. 1862. Our Richmond type I jacket has a 6 piece body with 2 piece sleeves. It has a 9 button front with hand stitched button holes and the appropriate confederate block button sewn on, I's, A's Or C's. It has straight cuffs with no buttons and it is lined with cotton muslin with one interior pocket over the left breast. It has epaulette that button down and are piped in which ever branch of service color you desire. Red, blue or yellow. The top and bottom of the collar are also piped. With an inverted V on the cuffs. Two belt loops are sewn on the back of the jacket.

RICHMOND TYPE 2 JEAN JACKET

  Our latest addition to the BLOCKADE RUNNER line is this great looking RICHMOND TYPE II jacket. Made from Kersey woven jean wool. Dyed deep indigo blue. It really is a great looking coat. Shoulder epaulette and belt loops. It has a 9 button front, muslin lined with one patch pocket over the left breast. The pocket is hand stitched. The sleeves are hand set and stitched. All top stitching and button holes are done by hand with 100% cotton thread.

CONFEDERATE ENLISTED MAN'S SACK COAT

  Our Confederate enlisted man's sack coat is made from 100% wool. It has the stand up collar with one inside pocket over the left breast. It has a seven button front with hand worked button holes and block I or possibly CSA buttons sewn on. Available in light gray, Confederate (medium) gray, Richmond (dark) gray, or butternut wool.
They are unlined as per the originals. If you would like to have one lined we can do that. $50. extra.
