BLACK STRIPES NO BACKGROUND


  Many CS units now prefer black stripes with no background. Each of the stripes are sewn directly onto the coat. Is it a lot more work? Yes it is. So just how do you do that without going crazy or crazy-er? Well we sew the stripes onto paper just as we would normally do onto wool. Then you place them on your coat and sew them on. Then just remove the paper. The papers job is simply to hold the stripes in the proper place while you sew them on. Listed here in black but we can make other colors if you so choose. Just give us a call.

  Just so you are not confused I am adding this ammendment. If you want a set of stripes on paper so you can sew them on, the cost is only that of the stripes.
  If you want me to make the stripes and sew them onto your coat the cost is that of the stripes, $21.95 for Corporal and then $20.00 more (for corporal) to sew them on.

CONFEDERATE GENERAL'S COLLAR TABS

Here is an excellent copy of a Confederate General's Collar Rank Insignia. Slightly smaller than those that have been around for years, they measure 3 inches long and 1 to 1.2 inches tall. They fit on your collar much better than the old ones and do not look out of proportion. Gold bullion thread on wool just like the originals. Available in three different background colors to match your collar. Dark blue, Buff (close to white) and Tan.

UNION DOUBLE ROW SHOULDER BOARDS

Brand new pair of union double row shoulder boards. These shoulder boards are not for the faint of heart. All officers had to supply their own uniforms and accouterments, so you can imagine it would take a little brass to wear there. Gen. Custer would have worn them and added flashing lights if possible. There are plenty of original photos showing officers of all grades wearing this type of shoulder board. There are even examples of triple row, but I don't think I'll go there. These shoulder boards measure 4 1/2 x 1 3/4 inches.
